Get Traffic to your Website!
Once you have created your web pages, registered a domain name
and hosted your web pages in a server. Now, your website is ready to use.
But who knows about your website, you have to do some work around to get visitors
to your website. This is called getting traffic.
There are lot of ways to do this. And the best way is make your
website available in the Index of top Search Engines (like Google, Yahoo, Windows
Live Search). Because, only through Search engines, your website will get more visibility
to the entire internet users.
To make your website listed out in Search Engines index list,
you have to submit your website URL to the search engines. You no need to submit
each and every page URL to the Search engine, just give your home page URL. Once
you submitted your website URL to search engine, Search engine will check the URL
and find out other pages in the website. If you give the home page it will check
the links available in the home page and finds other pages in your website. But
no one knows How long they will take to update that. It may take two weeks to a
month time. Submitting your website URL to Search Engine is absolutely free.
To make your page searchable by search engines, you have to add
meta tags in your web pages. Meta tag is nothing but a HTML tag which contains description
of the page and keywords for that page. There are two important meta tag that, each
of your web pages should have. The first one is meta tag for your page description,
where you have to give brief description about the page. The Second one is meta
tag for the keywords, where you have to give all the possible keywords about that
page. Using this keywords only search engine list your web page. Search Engine mainly
looks into your meta tag and the title of the page.
How to add the meta tag in your web page?
It is very easy, just open your webpage in notepad then add your
meta tags any where in between your <head> ... </head> HTML tag.
I have given an example how to add a description and keyword meta tags for the home
page of a NEWS website. As I already mentioned,

2. The Second meta tag is meant for the keywords of your page.
For the same NEWS website's home page, keyword meta tag should look like this.
Try to add all possible keywords in each and every page.
